THE CONCEPT
The ‘scarcity’ of gold, silver and diamond, combined with community belief, is the
essence of their superior wealth preservation. This community of strong believers
across the ages of time created what is more recently referred to as ‘network effects’.
The ‘scarcity’ of Bitcoin is also the main factor that underpins its high value
and propelled its evolution into a ‘store of value’ in a similar way to gold. Due to
technological changes and a community with strong belief; its network effects are
happening on an exponential basis.
Bringing everything together, an iconic financial model comparing each asset class
was developed by Plan B to visually depict Bitcoin’s increasing value over time.

To stay in the race, Jack the Sailor recognized he needed some sort of supernatural advantage. Using the encryption technology that protects bitcoin, he transformed into the Cyber Hornet, which gave him tremendous superpowers.
THE TIMEPIECE
The Cyber Hornet timepiece was designed in two tones, black and gold. It highlights the importance of gold as a metal in Jack’s story, which shines beautifully in the watch. The ultra-modern, sophisticated saphire crystal case gives away to the intricate inner workings, skeletonised movement with massive mechanisms, where the bridges and pillars of a traditional tourbillon have been turned into an elliptical circle with diameters of 21.2mm. An eccentric balance of 14mm further characterises this radical tourbillon. Powered by a 24-jewel manual winding CS-03.SQT movement, beating at 18,800 vibrations an hour.

For thousands of years, the wealth held in gold, silver and diamond has always been safeguarded by powerful entities or nation-states with guns and armies. Whereas Bitcoin’s main line of defence is cryptography manned by cyberpunks, or more recently termed as ‘cyber hornets’.
These were the four ideas that inspired me to make the concept illustration “Cyber Hornet
